The Berg 5*DSP II Receiver can be
programmed via two jumpers to use either channel 5 OR channel 6. By
default (at time of this writing!) the Berg 5*DSP II comes with
channel 5 enabled. |
|
 |
Here are some hand-assembled
jumpers made from part number ME-71400. Now jumpers are supplied
with each Berg and Hyperion programmable receiver, so you need not
assemble them. Note that the
jumpers are just servos connectors, with center pin unused and outer
two pins connected. |
|
 |
STEP ONE
On left is a picture showing the setup before programming. The servo
connected to channel one will cycle back and forth several times as
programming proceeds. When the servo stops, programming is complete.

|
 |
STEP TWO
To program for Channel 6, set as
shown at Left.
Channel #1 – Servo
Channel #2 – Jumper
Channel #4 – Jumper
Battery – 4.8-6.0V battery with switch harness
Install BERG crystal, matching Transmitter frequency |
|
STEP THREE (programming for
channel 6)
1) Turn on transmitter
2) Turn on switch to Berg 5*DSP
3) Wait until Servo stops cycling
4) Turn off switch to Berg 5*DSP and Transmitter switch
5) Programming is complete, and you may use channels 1-4 and 6 |
|
STEP FOUR (programming for channel
5)
To return to using channels 1-5, set as above, but place jumpers like
this:
Channel #2 – Jumper
Channel #3 – Jumper
And program as in STEP THREE |
