Hacker Master Advance Brushless Controllers - Std/Heli Mode Setup

Some of the Hacker Master HELI speed controllers have shipped without adequate English-language instructions for selecting the governor mode (heli mode).  Therefore we outline the process for you here.  The steps are the same as setting brake ON/OFF for airplane controllers.  The HELI controllers do not have a brake available, but toggle flight modes instead.

The default mode from the factory is STANDARD (no governor)

Set throttle to 0% and switch on the ESC - after a few seconds, you'll hear either one beep (NORMAL MODE) or two beeps (HELI MODE).  These tones will only occur the first time the ESC is switched on after connecting the main pack - if you switch off the ESC and leave the main pack connected, the next time the ESC is switched on you will not hear the tones.  If you don't hear the tones the first time, then the ESC is not arming.  Check to be sure that throttle is set to full zero (both the stick, and in software), and try reversing the throttle channel if Futaba.

 Changing the Flight Mode

1) Connect the motor battery pack (and Rx pack if OPTO)
2) Set throttle position to 100%
3) Switch on the ESC switch (or Rx pack switch for OPTO types)
4) Wait 5 seconds, until you hear a series of tones
5) Immediately move the throttle stick to 0% (full stop position)

The flight mode has now been changed, and will stay in the new mode until you change it by using the above procedure again.
