Hyperion 400 Series Super Aerobats

These are some of the most beautiful ARF models we have ever seen. Precisely laser-cut parts, fine glue joints, quality covering with fabulous color schemes, 98% complete constuction for fast build times.. nope, that wasn't enough...

Hyperion went on to make highly scale Fiberglass Cowls, and then hand paint them to perfectly match the stipes and colors on the fuselage. Since they were at it, they pre-painted the super-clear canopies, too!

The kits include both a stick mount for gearboxes like the HP-XG series, GWS EPS and similar - and an improved Box Mount to fit Outrunners like Hyperion Z2213 series, AXI 2212 Series, or even motors like the Mega 1615 and Warp4 1615 6-pole direct drive. (Kit includes both types of mount.)

The kit themselves are a bargain for the quality, and the Z2213-20 Power Set just adds more value.  Choose the Kit+Power Set option from the drop-down list get discount on Kit and Power Set.  At only $199.95 for the whole package, you save more than $28!

Use APC 9x4.5 E to 9x6E props and 3S battery capable of 17A continuous discharge. We recommend the PolyQuest 1200XP-3S or Hyperion LSVX1200-3S packs for lightest weight and highest power. You can roll off the ground to vertical within just a few feet with this power setup!

They all fly like a dream, in case you dream of huge loops, snappy snap rolls, and long knife-edge passes....

Build Notes not in manuals:
* SET CG AT 50mm from wing leading edge for initial flights
* Included Box Mount for Z22 Motor has right thrust built in.  Make sure you don't assemble the mount backwards. Recently-produced kits have a notch at front of mount LEFT side plate (viewed from top-back of model). Assemble the mount to the model without glue to check that you have right-thrust.
* SU-31 and Extra 300L do not have downthrust built in to the Z22 motor mount in first production version.  Check yours to see if there is down thrust.  If not, file the slots in mount side plates such that the motor-mount plate includes about 1.5 degrees down thrust.
